State GAS Ltd Suspended from Official Quotation
- Company requests voluntary suspension to finalise negotiations on proposed material asset sale
- Needs time to clarify status of R&D incentive claims related to asset
- Expects to make announcement about asset sale and R&D claims by March 30
State GAS Ltd (ASX: GAS) has requested a voluntary suspension from official quotation on the ASX, pending the release of an announcement by the company. The suspension has been requested to allow the company additional time to finalise negotiations in relation to a proposed material asset sale involving its R&D pilot plant, as well as to clarify the status of its R&D incentive claims in relation to the plant. The company had previously requested a trading halt on March 24 in relation to these matters, but is not yet in a position to make a formal announcement. The voluntary suspension is expected to remain in place until the market opens on Monday, March 30, unless the company makes the relevant announcement before that date. State GAS Ltd has stated that it is not aware of any reasons why the voluntary suspension should not be granted, and that it does not have any other information necessary to inform the market about the suspension, pending the release of the upcoming announcement.
