BrainChip Holdings Ltd, the world's first commercial producer of neuromorphic artificial intelligence technology, has announced that it has entered into a new technology licensing agreement with EDGEAI, a Korea-based rapidly emerging semiconductor company specializing in high-efficiency artificial intelligence processors for edge and endpoint devices. Under the agreement, BrainChip will provide EDGEAI with access to its Akida™ 2 neuromorphic IP and integration support of Akida's ultra-low power neural processing capabilities into EDGEAI's forthcoming SoC product line. The collaboration reinforces BrainChip's continued global expansion and accelerates the adoption of neuromorphic technology across emerging edge AI markets. The commercial terms of the agreement include milestone-based payments covering the staged delivery of IP, engineering support, and technical services, as well as ongoing royalties tied to EDGEAI's sales of products incorporating the licensed Akida technology. The license is global and non-exclusive, with the term lasting as long as EDGEAI continues to use the Akida IP, unless otherwise terminated. The partnership strengthens BrainChip's momentum across Asia and builds upon its strategy to enable a broad ecosystem of semiconductor and OEM partners seeking high-performance, energy-efficient AI solutions.

BrainChip is unable to quantify the financial impact of the agreement at this time, although the royalties are expected to be material over time, depending on the number of products sold by EDGEAI using BrainChip's technology.

The collaboration with EDGEAI is expected to strengthen BrainChip's momentum across Asia and build upon its strategy to enable a broad ecosystem of semiconductor and OEM partners seeking high-performance, energy-efficient AI solutions.
