TAPC Secures New A$9M Contract
- TAPC awarded major A$9M contract by Ozango Minerais S.A. for off-gas scrubbing system
- System to control and treat process emissions at Longonjo Rare Earth Refinery Project in Angola
- Aligns with EGL Clean Air division's expertise in emissions control and supports critical minerals sector
The Environmental Group Limited (ASX: EGL) has announced that its subsidiary Total Air Pollution Control (TAPC) has been awarded a major contract by Ozango Minerais S.A., a subsidiary of Pensana PLC, for the design and supply of an off-gas scrubbing system for the Longonjo Rare Earth Refinery Project in Angola. The contract is valued at approximately A$9 million. The Longonjo Project is a strategically significant rare earth development that will supply critical materials used in electric vehicles, renewable energy technologies, and advanced manufacturing. TAPC's off-gas scrubbing system will control and treat process emissions, ensuring environmental compliance, safe and reliable plant operation, and alignment with the project's ESG objectives. The opportunity aligns closely with EGL Clean Air division's core expertise in emissions control and represents a commercially attractive entry into the growing critical minerals sector. The system is engineered to capture, neutralise, and remove process emissions generated during mineral processing, combining proven gas-handling design with advanced scrubbing technology to ensure compliance with stringent environmental standards while supporting safe, reliable plant operation. By effectively treating particulates and gaseous pollutants, the solution helps customers meet regulatory obligations, reduce environmental impact, and align with broader ESG objectives. EGL CEO Jason Dixon stated that TAPC continues to build strong momentum, securing high-value, strategically aligned projects with leading global customers, and that this contract with Ozango Minerais reflects the confidence placed in TAPC's technical capability and reinforces the strong growth outlook for EGL's Clean Air division.
