Pro Medicus Limited (ASX: PME) has announced that its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Visage Imaging, Inc., has signed a 5-year, A$23M contract with the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS). UMMS delivers comprehensive health care services throughout Maryland and includes collaboration with specialists from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The contract will see the company's cloud-based Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform ('Visage 7'), including Visage 7 Viewer and Visage 7 Workflow, implemented across UMMS, providing a single, unified enterprise imaging platform for diagnostic interpretation. Planning for the rollout will commence immediately and is targeted for early in the 2027 calendar year. According to Pro Medicus CEO Dr. Sam Hupert, the global shortage of radiologists is driving healthcare institutions to adopt enterprise imaging platforms that maximize radiologist efficiency and subspecialty workflows with the added security and scalability of the cloud, which Visage 7 will provide for UMMS across its academic, community and specialty hospital clinical footprint.
The 5-year, A$23M contract with the University of Maryland Medical System is expected to contribute to Pro Medicus' financial performance over the contract period.
Pro Medicus CEO Dr. Sam Hupert stated that the company's pipeline remains strong and spans all market segments.
