West African Resources Limited (ASX: WAF) has provided a production update for the March 2026 quarter, reporting strong results from its Sanbrado and Kiaka gold production centres in Burkina Faso. The company achieved group gold production of 107,728 oz and group gold sales of 104,145 oz at a realised price of US$4,945/oz. At the Sanbrado Gold Production Centre, mining continued to ramp up with the M5 North Pit delivering a 128% increase in mined ounces compared to the previous quarter. The M1 South underground also performed well, delivering 27,320 ounces of gold. At the Kiaka Gold Production Centre, open pit mining showed an 18% increase in mined ounces compared to the previous quarter. The Kiaka process plant also delivered strong operational performance, producing 65,704 ounces of gold. WAF is tracking to achieve its 2026 annual production guidance of 430,000 - 490,000 ounces of gold.
