Airborne EM Survey Targets Prospective DKar Formation
- AEM survey to target carbonaceous horizon within D'Kar Formation
- Covers >1000 km² across PL2743 and PL0770, near MMG's Khoemacau hub
- Survey expected to be completed in 10-14 days, with results integrated with magnetics to deliver high-quality drill targets
Belararox Ltd is pleased to announce the recommencement of copper exploration at its 100% owned Kalahari Copper Project (KCP) in Botswana's North-West Province. The exploration program will focus on a largely untested northern corridor across PL2743 and PL0770, located along strike from MMG's world-class Khoemacau copper hub. The key highlight is an airborne electromagnetic (AEM) survey covering over 1,000 km², targeting a well-defined carbonaceous horizon within the D'Kar Formation, located approximately 100m above the highly prospective D'Kar-Ngwako Pan (DKF-NPF) contact, a key control on copper mineralization in the region. The state-of-the-art Spectrem Plus AEM system will be utilized, with the ability to simultaneously map shallow and deeper features with high resolution. The survey is expected to be completed within 10-14 days, with the results integrated with detailed magnetic interpretation to deliver high-quality drill targets. Diamond drilling is planned to follow in May, targeting priority geophysical anomalies and vectoring toward the most prospective settings for copper mineralization.
Belararox is excited to commence this field work in Botswana with a refreshed technical team and exploration strategy, and expects to provide regular updates to shareholders on the progress at the Kalahari Copper Project as well as generating new targets for the next field season in Argentina.
