High-Grade Results Confirm Growth Potential at KGP
- Significant intercepts of up to 41.25g/t Au support potential to grow reserves and extend mineralisation at depth
- Wide zones of mineralisation encountered outside current Ore Reserve, highlighting strong potential for reserve growth and mine life extension
- Consistent, high-grade mineralisation within the early years of the mine plan supports upgrade to measured classification
Ausgold Ltd is pleased to report assay results from extensional and in-fill drilling within the Central Zone at its 100%-owned Katanning Gold Project (KGP) in Western Australia. The drilling campaign is targeting resource growth at the KGP, supporting potential for future reserve conversion, improving confidence in early mine life areas, as well as targeting new discoveries across the company's regional tenure. The results include significant intercepts of up to 41.25g/t Au, which support the potential to grow reserves and extend mineralisation at depth. Wide zones of mineralisation were encountered in areas of Inferred Resources beneath the current DFS Update pit design and outside the current Ore Reserve, highlighting strong potential for reserve growth and mine life extension. In-fill drilling at the Jinkas and White Dam lodes within the first two years of the planned mine life also returned consistent, high-grade results, increasing confidence in grade continuity in the initial phases of the DFS Update mine plan. Extensional drilling beneath the current Mineral Resource Estimate along the White Dam-Jackson trends intersected significant mineralisation, reinforcing down-plunge growth potential. The company is advancing further drilling programs to test for extensions of the primary Jinkas lode, as well as regional targets at Datatine, Jackson, White Dam, and Nanicup Bridge.
The company sees a clear opportunity to grow the production base and extend mine life at the Katanning Gold Project, while simultaneously optimising the early years of production.
