Full Summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd (ASX:CYL) has reported grade control drilling results at the Trident underground deposit, located on the Plutonic Gold Belt in Western Australia. Trident is an underground deposit that will be the fourth mine developed by Catalyst on the Plutonic Gold Belt, with mining of a small open pit having commenced in July 2025. The grade control drilling program was aimed at de-risking the first 15 months of underground production at Trident. The results support the existing high-grade Resource, with numerous intercepts over 10 gram-metres including 17m at 42.7g/t Au, 15m at 22.9g/t Au, and 13m at 23.7g/t Au. Trident underground comprises a Probable Reserve of 2.5Mt at 5.0g/t Au for 397koz and a Resource of 4.7Mt at 5.3g/t Au for 795koz, making it the second largest deposit on the Plutonic Gold Belt. The underground mine is expected to operate at a run rate of around ±60koz per annum and will form the second base load ore source feeding the Plutonic processing plant. Catalyst's 10-year production plan aims to grow gold production at Plutonic from ±100koz pa to ±200koz pa, with Trident, K2 and Old Highway underground mines being three higher-grade ore sources to be brought online.

Outlook

Catalyst is aiming to increase Reserves and production from 1.5Moz to ±2Moz and ±100koz to ±200koz annually. With the development and exploration of five deposits, Catalyst is targeting a 10 year mine life for the Plutonic Gold Belt, a unique and rare proposition for an underground Western Australian gold mine.
