Full Summary

BPH Global Ltd (ASX: BP8), a leading commercial seaweed supply and export company, has executed a binding land lease agreement for a coastal site in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The leased site, located approximately 40-50 km south of Makassar, a major logistics and commercial hub in eastern Indonesia, comprises two adjoining parcels totaling approximately 3.4 hectares. The site contains existing on-shore, in-ground aquaculture pools and has sufficient space for the construction of warehouse infrastructure and on-shore seaweed cultivation tanks, as well as dedicated outdoor areas for seaweed drying and processing activities. BPH Global intends to develop the site as an integrated seaweed cultivation and processing hub, supporting its broader strategy of vertical integration across food, nutraceutical and agricultural inputs. Planned operations include the cultivation of sea grapes (Caulerpa lentillifera) in the existing on-shore pools, as well as the construction of tank systems to cultivate multiple seaweed species for use in the company's kefir-based beverage products, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, and bio-stimulant/fertilizer formulations. The lease agreement is for a term of 2 years, with the option to extend subject to mutual agreement.

Outlook

The securing of this strategic coastal site is a key step in BPH Global's strategy to expand its controlled cultivation capacity, strengthen its Indonesian operating footprint, and support downstream product development, including food products and bio-stimulants/fertilizers. The site's proximity to Makassar enhances the company's access to export logistics and infrastructure, as well as its existing Indonesian operations.
