Nymagee District Exploration Update
- First underground exploration drilling program completed at Federation, extending high-grade Federation West mineralisation and discovering new Harley Lens
- Drilling intersected high-grade mineralisation adjacent to current mine workings, with potential for additional ore production
- Exploration activities planned for Federation East, regional geophysical surveys, and further drilling at Lancelot and Lyell prospects
Aurelia Metals Ltd (ASX: AMI) has reported significant results from its recent exploration program at the Federation Mine, located in the Western region of NSW, and provided an update on regional exploration activities in the Nymagee District. The first underground exploration drilling program at Federation was completed, successfully extending the high-grade Federation West mineralisation down-dip by approximately 70m, discovering the new Harley Lens, a polymetallic lens further northwest, and intersecting high-grade mineralisation within 1.8m of current mine workings. Highlights of the recent drilling include 9.0m (3.8m ETW) at 28.3% Zn, 15.4% Pb, 1.2% Cu, 0.9g/t Au and 27g/t Ag in FDR0354 from 389.0m, and 2.9m (1.8m ETW) at 3.1% Zn, 1.4% Pb, 1.6% Cu, 0.3g/t Au and 7g/t Ag in FDR0396 from 439.3m, confirming the discovery of the new Harley Lens. The company's exploration activities will now focus on Federation East, with near-term resource infill drilling and a transition to exploration drilling in the fourth quarter of FY26. Regional and near-mine geophysical surveys will also be employed in FY27 to aid the search for further deposits or lenses. At the Lancelot prospect, two drillholes were completed to test geophysical and geochemical anomalies, but the results have downgraded the prospectivity of the area, although inherent prospectivity remains. An aircore drill program was undertaken at the Lyell prospect, identifying three geochemically anomalous areas that will be assessed further with percussion drilling in FY26 and FY27.
The company's exploration activities will now focus on Federation East, with near-term resource infill drilling and a transition to exploration drilling in the fourth quarter of FY26. Regional and near-mine geophysical surveys will also be employed in FY27 to aid the search for further deposits or lenses. At the Lancelot and Lyell prospects, further drilling and assessment activities are planned in the coming years to better understand the potential of these areas.
