GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) has been awarded the contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for the Balance of Plant scope and BESS installation for a 200MW/800MWh battery energy storage project in South Australia on a lump sum and turn-key basis. The KLG project is located approximately 6km south-east of Koolunga and 7km north-east of Brinkworth, South Australia, and is owned by Equis Development Pte. Ltd, Asia-Pacific's leading infrastructure investor, owner and operator. The BESS will be connected to South Australia's electricity grid via approximately 1.2km of HV cable that connects to the 275kV Brinkworth Substation. The combined contract values are approximately $110 million, with works to commence shortly and estimated to be completed by September 2027.
