Generation Development Group Limited (GDG) has advised that one of its subsidiary companies, Generation Life Limited, is responding to a contained cyber incident involving unauthorized access to a limited part of its network. While the unauthorized access occurred through a third-party service provider, it was detected quickly by Generation Life and immediately contained. At this stage, there has been no evidence of impact on Generation Life's core systems and no evidence of unauthorized transactions. Generation Life's business continuity plan was immediately implemented, and there was minimal disruption to its operations. There was no impact to Evidentia Group or Lonsec Research & Ratings systems. Generation Life has engaged leading cyber security experts to assist in its response and has launched an investigation to understand the nature and scope of this unauthorized activity and to verify what information may have been impacted. If it is identified that any advisers or clients have been affected, they will be notified directly by Generation Life at the conclusion of that process. Generation Life has notified the relevant authorities, including the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), and the National Office of Cyber Security (NOCS), of the incident. The Company will continue to provide updates to the market if there are any material developments.
