DD003C confirms Niobium at Kameelburg's Northeast Margin
Key Points
  • Substantial 19m at 0.41% Nb₂O₅, 0.69% TREO and 3.43% SrCO₃ intercept
  • Confirms continuity of Nb-rich beforsite phase to northeast margin
  • Narrower, lower-grade REE-Sr intercepts define eastern boundary
Full Summary

Diamond drill hole DD003C, drilled from the DD003 pad on the northern flank of the Kameelburg carbonatite, has returned three stacked mineralized intercepts, confirming the continuity of the Nb-REE-Sr mineralized system to the northeastern margin of the central magnetic anomaly. The hole delivered a substantial 19m at 0.41% Nb₂O₅, 0.69% TREO and 3.43% SrCO₃ intercept, consistent with the Nb-enriched beforsite phase observed in previous drilling. Two additional REE-Sr-dominant intercepts were also returned, though narrower and lower-grade than the central core holes, indicating DD003C is positioned close to the northeastern boundary of the economically significant carbonatite mineralization. This boundary control is an important geological input for the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate. The persistence of the Nb-rich beforsite phase at this location demonstrates that the niobium-bearing layer extends further to the northeast than the high-grade REE-Sr core, supporting the interpretation of a broader, structurally controlled Nb-enriched horizon across the northern sector of the carbonatite.
