Forrestania Resources Ltd has announced a JORC Compliant Mineral Resource Estimate for the Johnson Range Deposit of 2,041,190 tonnes at 1.99 g/t Au for 130,730 oz at a 0.5 g/t cut off. This updated MRE represents a 26% increase in contained gold ounces compared to the previous resource estimate. The MRE includes a previously mined stockpile of 67,700 tonnes at 0.99 g/t Au for 2,150 oz at no cut off. The updated MRE was supported by a recent 48-hole, 4,344 metre drill program, and additional resource extension drilling is planned down dip, including diamond drilling for metallurgical test work. Conceptual mining studies are also planned. The Johnson Range Project is located approximately 170 km north of Southern Cross in Western Australia and consists of 6 km2 of granted tenements containing the shallowly mined Gwendolyn deposit. The Project is located in the northern area of the Marda-Diemals greenstone belt within the Southern Cross Domain of the Yilgarn Craton, where significant gold deposits occur.
