Andean Silver extends bonanza-grade veins beyond resources
Key Points
  • Further extensive high-grade mineralised veins discovered outside current resources and near processing facility
  • Results provide more evidence of potential for substantial and rapid resource growth
  • Andean building a pipeline of highly prospective drilling targets outside existing resources
Full Summary

Andean Silver continues to expand the extensive vein systems at the Cerro Bayo Project, with the discovery of high-grade mineralisation in multiple areas that will support ongoing resource growth. Follow-up sampling has produced compelling widths and grades across the recently identified Taitao East project area, with results including 1.2m @ 1,681g/t Silver equivalent and 1.2m @ 1,178g/t Silver equivalent. Mapping and sampling have also yielded extensions to the Taitao/Appaloosa structure proximal to the existing core shed and processing facility, with high-grade rock chip results such as 5,643g/t Silver equivalent and 4,585g/t Silver equivalent. Ongoing evaluation of the vein corridor extensions north of the Marcela/Guanaco trends has also led to the discovery of additional vein extensions and growth potential, with rock chip results up to 31,750g/t Silver equivalent. Andean is executing an aggressive exploration and resource growth campaign, aiming to advance the project from a predominantly exploration focus to a combination of exploration and restart planning in 2026. This will include drilling brownfields targets, continuing regional exploration, and commencing feasibility-level work.

Outlook

Andean Silver aims to rapidly advance the Cerro Bayo project and grow the existing 111Moz silver-gold resource to demonstrate a globally significant silver-gold asset. The company plans to continue an aggressive exploration and resource growth campaign, including drilling brownfields targets, continuing regional exploration, and commencing feasibility-level work.
