Alkane Resources Ltd, a gold and antimony producer, reported its financial results for the three and nine months ended 31 March 2026. The company's revenue increased by 168% to $678.3 million for the nine-month period, compared to $184.7 million in the same period of the previous year. Gross profit also increased significantly, rising by 656% to $245.5 million for the nine months ended 31 March 2026, up from $32.4 million in the prior-year period. This strong financial performance was driven by increased production and sales across Alkane's operating segments, which include the Costerfield and Tomingley gold and antimony mines in Australia, and the Björkdal gold mine in Sweden. During the quarter, Alkane also completed the acquisition of Mandalay Resources Corporation, a Canadian mining company, further expanding the company's global footprint and asset portfolio. The acquisition, which was approved by shareholders of both companies, has been accounted for as a business combination, with Alkane identified as the accounting acquirer. Since the acquisition date, Mandalay has contributed $389.2 million in revenue to the Group's results.
For the financial year ending 30 June 2026, Alkane expects to generate revenue in the range of $900 million to $950 million and EBITDA in the range of $350 million to $380 million.
Alkane is well-positioned for continued growth, with a diversified portfolio of high-quality mining assets and a strong financial position following the acquisition of Mandalay Resources. The company remains focused on optimizing its operations, advancing its exploration and development projects, and pursuing strategic growth opportunities to create long-term value for shareholders.
