Desert Metals Extends Tiogo Gold Anomaly at Tengrela South
- Soil sampling extends Tiogo gold anomaly by 3km
- New target, Tiogo North, identified with peak 617 ppb Au
- Total Tiogo gold corridor now extends 5.5km with only 1.5km drill-tested
- Tiogo North represents high-priority drill target
- Plans for aircore and deeper drilling to test anomalies
Desert Metals has completed a soil sampling program at its Tengrela South gold project in northern Côte d'Ivoire, identifying a new target called Tiogo North, extending the Tiogo gold anomaly by 3km. The Tiogo North anomaly, characterized by a peak value of 617 ppb gold, is surrounded by a well-defined halo of 10-50 ppb gold anomalism, covering an area of approximately 800m by 400m. This discovery extends the total Tiogo gold corridor to 5.5km in strike length, with only 1.5km having been drill-tested. The company plans to initiate aircore drilling at Tiogo North and continue infill and step-out drilling at the main Tiogo prospect. Additionally, reverse circulation or diamond drilling to depths of 150m to 250m is planned to test the bedrock expression of the Tiogo gold system.
