Neuroscientific Biopharmaceuticals Ltd (NSB) announced remarkable results from its Special Access Program using StemSmart, a patented mesenchymal stem cell therapy, in patients with fistulising Crohn's disease. Out of five patients aged 18-49, all showed improvement, with four achieving a successful clinical response defined as either a 50% closure of fistula openings or a 50% decrease in fistula discharge. The treatment was safe and well-tolerated, with no serious adverse events. These exceptional outcomes have led NSB to initiate a Phase 2 clinical trial in Australia, planned for the second half of the calendar year 2026. This trial will provide pivotal data to support NSB's pursuit of Marketing Authorization in Australia for StemSmart as a treatment for fistulising Crohn's disease.
