- Capacity optimization progressing toward 600 mAh/g target
1414 Degrees Ltd (ASX: 14D) is pleased to announce the commencement of the scale-up phase of its SiNTL silicon nanoparticle anode program, marking a significant step towards commercialisation. The company is purchasing scale-up equipment to produce manufacturer-relevant quantities of its silicon anode material at George Washington University, transitioning from laboratory-scale development to commercial engagement. The scale-up is expected to improve material consistency and production volumes, supporting formal third-party evaluations and OEM engagement. Additionally, 14D has initiated engagement with full-stack contract battery manufacturers to produce complete battery cells incorporating SiNTL anode material, optimized for testing in drone, UAV, satellite, and robotics applications. Market interest is growing, with several industry participants expressing interest in trialing SiNTL materials. The company is also progressing towards its initial 600 mAh/g target, aiming to achieve a higher capacity than conventional graphite anodes and current silicon-enhanced anode benchmarks.
Progressing toward 600 mAh/g capacity target by the end of the financial year
The scale-up phase and full-stack battery development are expected to enhance commercial viability and market adoption of SiNTL anode technology.
