Challenger Gold Pours First Gold at Hualilan
- First Gold Pour from Hualilán Gold Project
- Annual guaranteed processing capacity of 150,000 tonnes
- Initial pour produced approximately 200kg of doré with 500 oz gold
Challenger Gold Limited has achieved a significant milestone with the first gold pour from its Hualilán Gold Project in San Juan, Argentina. The gold was produced under a toll processing agreement with Casposo Argentina Mining Limited, securing an annual processing capacity of 150,000 tonnes over three years. The initial pour produced approximately 200 kg of doré, estimated to contain 500 ounces of gold and 6,000 ounces of silver from about 15,000 tonnes of ore. The Casposo plant is performing well, with recoveries meeting or exceeding forecasts. The first blast at the Magnata Pit has also been successfully completed, advancing the mining schedule. This milestone marks the company's first source of non-dilutive capital since listing, strengthening its balance sheet and de-risking the project.
Challenger Gold secures 150,000 tonnes annual processing capacity over three years.
Challenger Gold anticipates further improvements in recoveries and production outcomes as processing transitions to higher-grade ore.
