Dorsavi Announces Battery Life Improvements for Robotics
- Dorsavi's RRAM and neuromorphic technology improves battery life by over 2x
- Performance gains driven by synergy of RRAM and neuromorphic computing
- Dorsavi's sensors shift from raw data streaming to in-sensor decision-making
Dorsavi Limited has completed a strategic analysis confirming the potential of its existing EMG and movement sensing technologies within lower-limb exoskeleton systems. The analysis highlights performance improvements driven by the integration of RRAM and neuromorphic technologies, which enable sensors to shift from streaming raw data to delivering compact, real-time intent signals, thereby improving battery life by more than 2x. Dorsavi's smart sensors are designed to perform local filtering, feature extraction, event detection, and confidence scoring without sending raw data to an external processor or cloud, making the entire system faster, simpler, and more power-efficient. Dorsavi is progressing the application of its sensor platform into exoskeleton systems, targeting the high-value sensing and decision-intelligence layer. The Company's sensors can support gait intent detection, gait-phase recognition, fatigue monitoring, and exoskeleton validation using supervisory control architectures. Dorsavi serves as the sensor-intelligence layer in next-generation exoskeleton systems, providing the intelligence that tells the exoskeleton what the user intends to do before movement occurs.
Dorsavi expects a battery-life improvement of more than 2x with RRAM-neuromorphic technology.
Dorsavi is progressing validation work within its existing sensor hardware and plans to update shareholders on commercial progress and validation milestones in the coming months.
