Aldoro Resources Ltd has reported successful results from a maiden hydrometallurgical testwork program on its Kameelburg Rare Earth and Strontium Project in Namibia. The tests, conducted by ALS Metallurgy Services, demonstrated that the ore can be directly leached using hydrochloric acid, achieving >99% strontium recovery and up to ~72% Total Rare Earth Element (TREE) extraction. This direct-leach characteristic simplifies the processing route compared to other rare earth projects that require multiple beneficiation stages. The project's head grade of 1.28% TREE and 2.67% strontium further underscores its potential. Aldoro plans to optimize extraction and reduce processing costs through further testwork.
