Island Pharmaceuticals Ltd has expanded its Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and The Geneva Foundation. The expanded CRADA facilitates Island's planned dose optimization study for Galidesivir, an antiviral drug being evaluated for the treatment of Marburg Virus Disease (MVD). The study, set to commence in the next quarter, aims to identify the minimally effective Galidesivir dose against the Angola strain of Marburg. Island will utilize USAMRIID's Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4) facilities to conduct the study, which is expected to provide critical data for the planned pivotal confirmatory efficacy study required for potential FDA approval under the Animal Rule pathway. Topline results from the dose optimization study are anticipated during the second half of the calendar year 2026.
