Newmont commences drilling at Junee JV, NSW

Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) is pleased to announce that Newmont Exploration has commenced a diamond drilling program of up to nine holes for 1,800m at the Junee Joint Venture (JV) Project in New South Wales. The program follows up on encouraging gold intersections at the Allawah Prospect, including 20m @ 1.15g/t Au. The drilling is designed to test the mineralisation strike extent within the largest gold-in-soil anomaly at the Junee JV, supported by As-Sb-Te-Bi-Cu soil pathfinders, and rock chips up to 1.79g/t Au. The program is fully funded by Newmont under the Exploration and Farm-in Agreement (June 2018). Results from the currently planned Allawah drill program are anticipated in Q3 to Q4 2026.
