Odessa Minerals Announces Promising Rare Earths Exploration Results
- Surface sampling at Mt Yaragner confirms potential for rare earths
- High levels of pathfinder elements indicate carbonatite presence
- Rock chip samples show significant REE anomalism and lithium potential
Odessa Minerals Ltd has announced highly promising exploration results from the Lockier Range Project in Western Australia, indicating significant potential for rare earth elements (REE) and lithium mineralization. Surface sampling at the Mt Yaragner target within the Yinnetharra Lockier Range Project has confirmed pathfinder elements consistent with underlying carbonatite, highlighting the potential for REE mineralization. Key results include combined La + Ce + Y anomalism of up to 1,098ppm, indicating the presence of ironstone caps above carbonatite units. Additionally, rock chip samples from the Southern Pegmatite Field returned up to 1,911ppm Li2O, demonstrating the fertility of the pegmatite system. These results support the case for targeted follow-up drill testing in the future.
The Company plans to continue exploration activities to refine the geochemical signature and identify higher tenor zones within the broader anomalous footprint, aiming to advance both carbonatite and pegmatite-hosted mineralisation potential towards drill-ready targets.
