Caprice Resources: High Gold Recovery Confirmed
- Strong gold recoveries of up to 94% achieved
- High free gold component supports low-cost processing
- Rapid leach kinetics and moderate reagent consumption
- No preg-robbing observed
- Results confirm suitability for conventional processing
Caprice Resources Ltd (ASX: CRS) has reported positive results from initial metallurgical testwork on the Vadrians deposit at its Island Gold Project in Western Australia. The testwork confirmed high gold recoveries of up to 94% through conventional gravity and carbon-in-leach (CIL) processing. The composite sample achieved excellent overall gold recoveries at a normal grind size, with rapid leach kinetics and moderate reagent consumption. The results also indicated a high free gold component, suggesting a potential for a simple, low-cost processing route. Follow-up testwork will include comminution and variability tests across additional composite samples.
The company expects to deliver a maiden Mineral Resource and development studies at the Island Gold Project as the 50,000-metre drilling campaign continues.
