Symal Acquires Shamrock Civil to Expand Defence and Resources Platform
- Acquisition of Shamrock Civil enhances Symal's defence and resources exposure
- Shamrock Civil brings $100m+ annual defence revenue and a 70% defence pipeline
- Deal expected to be earnings per share accretive in Symal's first full year of ownership
Symal has acquired Shamrock Civil, a strategically aligned civil contractor, to significantly expand its defence and resources platform. Shamrock Civil brings over $100 million in annual defence revenue and a 70% defence pipeline, positioning Symal ahead of the $425 billion defence spend pipeline over the next decade. The acquisition also adds key gas and resources exposure, with Shamrock Civil's 20-year history in delivering major gas projects. Shamrock Civil's established relationships with key clients, including QGC, Arrow Energy, Santos, and Origin Energy, further strengthen Symal's position. The deal is expected to be earnings per share accretive in Symal's first full year of ownership.
FY26e EBITDA is a management estimate only, not guidance.
Symal expects the acquisition to enhance its position in the defence and resources sectors, with significant growth opportunities in both areas.
