- Mallee Bull and Wirlong projects enhance Tritton operations
- Expected effective date of acquisition is 22 June 2026
Aeris Resources Limited (ASX: AIS) has successfully acquired Peel Mining Limited through a scheme of arrangement approved by the Supreme Court of New South Wales. This acquisition significantly expands Aeris' copper resources in the Cobar region with the addition of the South Cobar Copper Project, comprising the Mallee Bull and Wirlong Projects. The acquisition is expected to become effective on 22 June 2026, with implementation on 1 July 2026. The addition of Mallee Bull, a large-scale, advanced copper project, will serve as a near-term, high-grade ore source for the Tritton processing plant, enhancing production rates and extending the operational life of Tritton. The Wirlong deposit, with its potential as another ore source, will also contribute to the supply for the Tritton mill. Aeris plans to complete a maiden Ore Reserve estimate for Mallee Bull in Q1 FY27, which will form the basis for an updated long-term mine plan for the integrated Tritton operations.
