Dreadnought Identifies 7km Gold Anomaly at Illaara
- Over 7km gold anomaly identified at Black Oak
- Four distinct gold-bearing trends identified
- Shallow, high-grade gold intercepts
- Follow-up drilling planned to commence in June 2026
Dreadnought Resources Ltd has announced significant results from its air core drilling program at the Illaara Gold Project in Western Australia. The program has identified a >7km gold anomaly at Black Oak, with intercepts including 21m @ 0.3 g/t Au from surface. Four distinct gold-bearing trends, ranging from 2.5 to >7km in strike, have been identified, all showing strong orogenic gold pathfinder anomalism. Dreadnought plans to commence infill drilling at 25-50m spacing immediately to convert this anomalism into defined mineralized corridors. The company's Managing Director, Dean Tuck, highlighted the potential of Black Oak as a large-scale gold system, with a major gold discovery being central to the company's strategy.
Dreadnought is optimistic about the potential of the Illaara Gold Project, with the identified anomalies indicating significant potential for a major gold discovery. The company plans to continue exploration and drilling to further define the mineralized corridors.
