High-Grade Gold Results at Baldock Outside Current Resource
- 3m @ 23.6 g/t Au from 689 metres and 8m @ 7.7 g/t Au from 666 metres
- Mineralisation extends 200 metres along strike and 300 metres below current resource
- Potential for significant growth of Baldock Mineral Resource Estimate
Ballard Mining (ASX: BM1) has announced high-grade gold results from extensional drilling at its Baldock deposit, located outside the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The drilling, which extended 300 metres below and 200 metres along strike from the existing Baldock deposit, has identified significant mineralisation, including 3m at 23.6 g/t Au and 8m at 7.7 g/t Au. These results demonstrate the potential for a significant increase in the Baldock MRE, which currently stands at +1 Moz at 3.5 g/t. The updated geological interpretation suggests that mineralisation could extend an additional 1,500 metres south along strike. Ballard is currently using three diamond drill rigs and three reverse circulation rigs to target extensions at Baldock and regional prospects.
The company believes that Mt Ida is potentially a camp scale project that has been historically under-explored. As they work through the remainder of their planned drilling for this calendar year, their focus is on identifying the next 1 Moz at Mt Ida.
