Renascor Resources Limited (ASX: RNU) has initiated graphite processing at its Purified Spherical Graphite (PSG) demonstration plant in Adelaide, South Australia. The plant employs an HF-free purification flowsheet designed to produce battery-grade graphite, a key material for lithium-ion battery anodes, without using hydrofluoric acid. This milestone marks the commencement of processing under operating conditions, aiming to demonstrate the feasibility of the company's environmentally sustainable purification process. The current phase focuses on validating the integrated purification process and is expected to continue into the next quarter, with larger operating runs planned to generate optimized operating data and qualification samples for prospective customers.
