Cauldron Energy Identifies New Palaeochannel Near Bennet Well
- Cauldron Energy discovers a new palaeochannel near Bennet Well
- The Yanrey palaeochannel is 1 km wide and 4 km long
- The palaeochannel is a high priority for the upcoming 2026 drilling program
Cauldron Energy Limited has announced the identification of a substantial new palaeochannel, named the Yanrey palaeochannel, adjacent to its Bennet Well Uranium Deposit. The discovery was made through passive seismic data interpretation, revealing a palaeochannel approximately 1 km wide and 4 km long, running parallel to the Bennet Well channel. The palaeochannel is concealed beneath a conductive layer of Muderong Shale and was previously undetected by airborne EM surveys. This new discovery expands the known palaeodrainage system within Cauldron's Yanrey Project, which already contains five known sandstone-hosted palaeochannel uranium deposits. The Yanrey palaeochannel will be a high priority target for the upcoming 2026 drilling program, aiming to test the potential for uranium mineralisation.
Cauldron Energy anticipates that the Yanrey palaeochannel could contain a significant uranium resource, similar to the Bennet Well deposit.
