Platina Resources Discovers New Gold Zones at Mt McKenna
- New gold zones identified at Granite Well East and Black Rock prospects
- Significant gold mineralization found at or near bottom of several holes
- Association of gold mineralization with strong arsenic anomalism
- Company awarded $109,200 grant for further exploration
- Follow-up RC drilling planned to test deeper extensions
Platina Resources Limited (ASX: PGM) has completed 10,809m of aircore drilling across two exploration phases at the Mt McKenna Gold Project in Western Australia's Laverton Gold District. Key drill results from Targets 2, 4, and 5 include significant gold intersections, with mineralization found at or near the bottom of several holes, indicating potential for deeper discoveries. The company also received a $109,200 grant from the Western Australian Government's Co-funded Exploration Drilling Program to support a 13-hole reverse circulation drilling program at Target 2. Follow-up aircore drilling is planned to further define the extent and continuity of the mineralized system.
The company plans to conduct follow-up reverse circulation drilling to test deeper extensions of the mineralized structures identified through aircore drilling and gravity surveys.
