Trek Metals Updates on Kuro Manganese Drilling
- Visual manganese intersected in all holes completed to date
- Up to 17 metres of semi-massive manganese identified
- Multiple new high-priority drill targets identified
Trek Metals Limited (ASX: TKM) has provided an update on its maiden Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Kuro manganese discovery in Western Australia's Kimberley region. A total of 15 RC holes have been completed, with visual manganese mineralization intersected in all holes. The best intercept was 17 metres of semi-massive manganese in hole 26XCRC014. The Company's geological interpretation has evolved, with drilling indicating that manganese mineralization is likely hosted within younger Neoproterozoic basin rocks. Induced Polarisation surveying has identified several high chargeability anomalies that correlate with manganese mineralization. The Company is excited about the potential scale of the exploration opportunity and looks forward to ongoing drill testing of high-priority targets.
The Company is optimistic about the scale of the exploration opportunity and plans to continue drill testing high-priority targets.
