Hawk Resources Finds More Copper in Cactus Corridor
- Lab assays show more copper, silver, and molybdenum near surface
- Intersections include 72.9m @ 0.36% Cu, 2.0ppm Ag
- Drilling to recommence in July 2026
Hawk Resources Limited (ASX: HWK) has announced that lab assays for hole DD26CT004 have intersected more near-surface copper mineralisation with associated gold, silver, and molybdenum in the Cactus Corridor at its Cactus copper-gold project in Utah, USA. The mineralisation extends the zone intersected in holes DD26CT003 and DD26CT005 to the southeast. Hole DD26CT004 intersected an overall copper mineralised zone of 72.9m @ 0.36% Cu, 2.0ppm Ag from 30m down hole (18m below surface). Separate zones of stronger mineralisation include: 33.6m @ 0.49% Cu, 1.9ppm Ag from 66.5m down hole (58m below surface) and 10.4m @ 0.97% Cu, 3.0ppm Ag, 0.059% Mo from 89.7m down hole (78m below surface). The mineralisation commences at a depth of 18m below surface and is interpreted to have a true thickness of approximately 44m. The next phase of drilling will include holes at 50m spacings between Cactus and Comet along the Cactus Corridor and will provide an indication of the potential volume of near-surface copper mineralisation. The company plans to recommence drilling in July 2026.
The company plans to recommence drilling in July 2026 to further explore the potential of near-surface copper mineralisation.
