Premier1 Lithium Ltd High-Priority Gold Exploration Targets at Abbotts North
- Survey reveals a large antiform structure along the eastern margin of the Abbotts Greenstone Belt
- Antiform hinge intersects a deep-seated east-west crustal structure
- Eastern margin of the Abbotts Greenstone Belt is completely untested, making it a compelling undrilled target
PLC Resources Limited has completed a high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey at the Abbotts North Gold Project in Western Australia's Murchison region. The survey revealed a large antiform structure along the eastern margin of the Abbotts Greenstone Belt, a fold geometry absent from existing regional geological mapping. The hinge of this structure intersects a deep-seated east-west crustal feature, a setting widely recognized as a control on orogenic gold mineralization. Importantly, the eastern margin of the belt has seen no exploration drilling or systematic soil sampling, making it a compelling undrilled target. Follow-up exploration, including ground reconnaissance and mapping, is underway to refine drilling targets along the newly identified corridor. Assay results from the recently completed maiden RC drilling program at the Rochefort Gold Prospect are expected within weeks.
PLC Resources plans to move quickly to advance ground reconnaissance and drill targeting along the newly identified corridor, with the aim of identifying new gold exploration targets.
