Sunstone Metals Announces Resource Growth at Bramaderos
Key Points
  • Bramaderos drilling extends mineralisation beyond existing 3.6Moz resource
  • All 20 holes in current drilling program returned long intersections
  • Porotillo exploration target now covers an area of approximately 500m by 200m
Full Summary

Sunstone Metals Ltd announced that drilling at its Bramaderos gold-copper project in Ecuador continues to extend known mineralisation beyond the existing 3.6 million ounce resource. All 20 holes assayed in the current drilling program at Porotillo, Copete, and Melonal have returned long mineralised intersections. Notably, drilling at Porotillo has extended mineralisation to cover an area of approximately 500m by 200m outside the existing Bramaderos Resource. The strongest hole, PTDD012, returned 213m at 0.53 g/t AuEq from surface. The company aims to upgrade a significant portion of the Exploration Target in the Copete-Porotillo complex, which is 135-180Mt at 0.40-0.60 g/t AuEq for 1.7 to 3.5 Moz AuEq. Sunstone plans to expand the mineralisation footprint through trenching and channel sampling ahead of a resource estimate in the second half of 2026.

Outlook

Sunstone Metals anticipates further growth in the Bramaderos resource through ongoing exploration and drilling, with a resource estimate planned for the second half of 2026.
