Syntara Announces Encouraging Phase 2 iRBD Study Results for SNT-4728
- Statistically significant reduction in brain inflammation in the putamen
- 20 out of 30 patients on active treatment showed reduced inflammation
- Full results and additional analyses expected in Q3 2026
Syntara Limited (ASX: SNT) has announced preliminary results from its Phase 2 clinical trial of SNT-4728, a neuro-targeted anti-inflammatory therapy, in patients with isolated REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (iRBD). The study, the first interventional trial targeting neuroinflammation in iRBD, demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in brain inflammation in the putamen, a region associated with Parkinson's Disease motor symptoms. The results, observed in 20 out of 30 patients on active treatment, suggest that SNT-4728 may modulate disease-relevant neuroinflammatory pathways. The trial was safe and well-tolerated, with no treatment-related serious adverse events reported. Full results, including additional analyses, are expected in Q3 2026.
Syntara plans to release full results from the study in Q3 2026, which will provide further insights into the drug's efficacy and safety profile.
