Ballymore Resources Commences Deep MT Survey at Dittmer Project
- Deep-penetrating ground Magnetotelluric (MT) survey has commenced over the Dittmer Project, targeting a concealed porphyry copper-gold system.
- The survey is funded under the Queensland Government's Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI).
- Underground development at the historic Dittmer mine is progressing to establish access for extension drilling and bulk sampling.
Ballymore Resources Limited (ASX: BMR) has initiated a deep-penetrating ground Magnetotelluric (MT) survey over its Dittmer Project, aiming to identify a concealed porphyry copper-gold system beneath the historic high-grade Dittmer gold mine. The survey, funded under the Queensland Government's Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI), covers an area of 2.5km by 1.0km to 1.7km wide and is expected to take three weeks to complete. The MT acquisition will be followed by modelling and processing, inversion, and target ranking in Q3 2026. This exploration program is being conducted in parallel with underground development works at Dittmer, which are designed to provide access for planned resource drilling and bulk sampling of historic mineralized material. Ballymore's Managing Director, Mr. David A-Izzeddin, highlighted that the Dittmer Project is entering a more active phase, with two clearly defined workstreams advancing in parallel: near-mine evaluation of a historically high-grade gold system and deeper exploration for a potential porphyry-style copper-gold system.
MT survey completion expected this month, target ranking in Q3 2026
Ballymore is optimistic about the potential for a large-scale copper-gold discovery at Dittmer, with multiple exploration and development milestones expected over the coming months.
