OzAurum Resources Ltd has reported outstanding heap leach metallurgical results from column test work at its Mulgabbie North Gold Project in Western Australia. The results, which further strengthen the case for a low-capex development strategy, include up to 82% gold recovery from deeper saprolite/transition ore and excellent leach kinetics. The test work also indicates that crushing to -8mm could increase laboratory recovery to 88%. Additionally, the project has very low cyanide consumption of ~0.21 kg/t, compared to the normal consumption of around 0.5 kg/t. The heap leach plant refurbishment by Polaris Engineering is almost complete, with key components now dry commissioned. These results support Stage 1 development and future Stage 2 expansion across a large, continuous mineralised system along an 8km Relief Shear corridor.
