Cyprium Metals Limited (ASX: CYM) has reported significant progress in its Phase 1 Copper Cathode Restart project at the Nifty Copper Complex in Western Australia. The company has advanced towards practical completion of site infrastructure work packages, with the new acid terminal now commissioned and sulphuric acid deliveries to Nifty having recommenced. Leach solution recovery and handling circuits are advancing toward commissioning, and hydro-testing on surface and injection leach programs on the heap leach has commenced. Cyprium is targeting the commencement of copper cathode production in the September Quarter 2026. The company also continues to advance technical work supporting near-term growth at the Nifty Copper Complex through a new open-pit mine. Extensive copper mineralisation has been identified within the Nifty waste dump, with assays indicating high-grade copper mineralisation. Additionally, the company has made key appointments, including Richard Holmes as Chief Development Officer and Christofer Catania as Chief Technology Officer. Cyprium remains well-funded with A$68.5M in cash at quarter-end.
Cyprium is entering the final phase of delivering the Phase 1 Copper Cathode Restart project. In the September quarter, execution focus shifts to heap leach commissioning, completion of construction and refurbishment work packages, plant practical completion and commissioning, and first copper cathode production.
