Resolute Mining Limited, an Africa-focused gold miner, has announced an update on its 100%-owned ABC Project in northwest Côte d'Ivoire, including an expanded Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The updated MRE now stands at 133 Mt grading 0.71 g/t Au for 3.0 Moz of contained gold, with the majority of the resource within 250m of surface. Both Kona South and Kona Central deposits remain open along strike and at depth, indicating potential for further resource growth. The company plans a $15-25 million work program to drill out deposits and progress feasibility studies, with seven rigs currently on site and an additional four planned for August. The work program includes infill drilling, technical studies, environmental and social baseline work, metallurgical testwork, and site infrastructure upgrades.
