Trek Metals Validates Concealed Manganese at Kuro
- IP drilling confirms effective targeting of concealed manganese
- Significant zones of visual manganese mineralisation found
- Laboratory assay results expected in the coming weeks
- Further exploration planned for Coogan Copper-Gold prospect
- RC drill rig testing additional soil anomalies before moving to Coogan target
Trek Metals Ltd announced that their ongoing Reverse Circulation (RC) drill program at the Kuro manganese discovery in Western Australia's Kimberley region has successfully intersected significant zones of visual manganese mineralisation. A total of 51 additional RC holes were completed, targeting Induced Polarisation (IP) chargeability anomalies. Visual manganese was intersected in 43 of the 51 holes, validating IP as an effective targeting method. Notable intersections include 15 metres of visual massive and semi-massive manganese in drill-hole 26XCRC051. Laboratory assay results for the first batch of drill samples are expected in the coming weeks. The RC drill rig is currently testing prospective gold, copper-gold, and REE soil anomalies before moving to the Coogan Copper-Gold target, where a program of four holes for approximately 1,480m has been planned.
