Ballard Mining has announced the highest gold intercept ever recorded at its Mt Ida Gold Project in Western Australia, with a 9-meter interval at 27.1 g/t gold from 191 meters in drill hole WKEX101, yielding a 244 gram-metre intercept. This result, occurring outside the current mineral resource envelope, marks a significant discovery at the West Knell prospect, part of the Ballard Fault Zone. Additional intersections include 4m at 7.2 g/t Au from 192m in WKEX102A and 2m at 5.6 g/t Au from 69m in WKEX102A. The ongoing drilling has extended mineralisation further north and at depth, reinforcing the potential of the Ballard Fault Zone as a camp-scale gold system. An updated Mineral Resource Estimate is expected in the September Quarter, and a mining lease for West Knell is anticipated in the same period.

The extensive mineralisation identified along the Ballard Fault Zone has the potential to grow substantially, with the entire length of the fault zone potentially mineralised.
