Gold Hydrogen Achieves Helium Flow, Separation, and Purification Milestone
- Helium flowed to surface, separated, and purified at Ramsay 1 well
- Achieved air-corrected Helium purities of more than 30% during flow testing
- Successful purification process provides data for future scale and commercialization
- Gas samples dispatched for compositional and isotopic analysis
Gold Hydrogen Ltd has achieved a significant milestone in its Ramsay 1 flow testing campaign by successfully flowing, separating, and purifying Helium at surface. This marks the first time Helium has been concentrated at surface in Australia since the closure of the Darwin plant in late 2023. The test, conducted at a pumping rate of up to 2,000 barrels of fluid and gas per day, achieved air-corrected Helium purities of more than 30%, with stabilized purities of 19%. The purification system, supplied by Quantum Technology Corp, successfully enriched and captured Helium, allowing it to be stored in onsite cylinders. The successful purification process provides operational confirmation and valuable data for future scale and commercialization efforts. Gas samples are being dispatched for compositional and isotopic analysis in collaboration with CSIRO and Oxford University.
