Firefly Metals Updates Green Bay Resource with High-Grade Assays
- High-grade copper and gold assays reported
- Significant intersections in VMS and Core Zones
- Infill drilling results to be incorporated into MRE update
Firefly Metals Ltd has announced high-grade copper and gold assay results from its Green Bay Copper-Gold Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The latest drilling has returned significant intersections, including 11.5m at 11.1% copper and 2.1g/t gold. These results demonstrate the continuity and high-grade nature of the mineralisation, particularly in the upper Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) lenses and the high-grade Core Zone. The infill drilling results will be incorporated into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), which will underpin the economic studies set for release this month. The company is also progressing with regional exploration drilling and has commenced maiden drilling at the Tilt Cove project.
The company expects to complete the Preliminary Economic Assessment by the end of August 2026, which will highlight multiple potential development scenarios for future operations at Green Bay.
