MTM Critical Metals Ltd Signs First Commercial FJH Technology Services Agreement
- First commercial monetisation of Metallium's FJH platform
- 12-month agreement with ECT for MXene production
- Total Phase-1 consideration up to US$1.4m
- Potential for longer-term commercial licence and royalty agreement
MTM Critical Metals Ltd has announced its first commercial monetisation deal for its Flash Joule Heating (FJH) platform. The 12-month technology services agreement with Environmental Clean Technologies (ECT) aims to evaluate FJH as a faster, more scalable alternative to conventional HF-based processing for producing MXenes. The agreement includes a total consideration of up to US$1.4m, with US$500,000 payable upfront and the remaining US$900,000 in quarterly installments. Additionally, 20 million ECT options at A$0.18/share are included, subject to ECT shareholder approval. The agreement represents the first commercial validation of MTM's strategy to monetize its expanding FJH intellectual property portfolio through technology services, commercial licensing, royalty streams, and strategic partnerships. It also establishes a template for MTM's 'Processing-as-a-Service' model, providing engineering/licensing revenue alongside its core Build-Own-Operate metals recovery business.
Total Phase-1 consideration up to US$1.4m (~A$2.0m)
Potential for longer-term commercial licence and royalty agreement following successful completion of the R&D programme.
