Forrestania Resources Limited (ASX: FRS) has announced a significant upgrade to the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the British Hill Deposit, totaling 2,620,900 tonnes at 1.50 g/t Au for 126,290oz Au at a 0.5 g/t Au cut-off. This represents a 131% increase from the previous MRE. The Indicated category now holds 1,878,500 tonnes at 1.43 g/t Au for 86,080oz Au, a 180% uplift from the previous MRE. The MRE was supported by a recent 19-hole drill program. An additional 100-hole drill program is approved, with further drilling underway. Conceptual mining studies and metallurgical test work are planned. Forrestania's Chairman, David Geraghty, highlighted the potential for further resource expansion and enhanced project economics.
