St Barbara Limited (ASX: SBM) has significantly increased its exploration activities in Nova Scotia, with a 64% rise in the budget to A$4.1 million in FY27. The exploration team has also doubled in size. The exploration program includes Reverse Circulation (RC) and Interface Reverse Circulation (IFRC) drilling of up to 105 holes for 4,400 meters, targeting between five and seven areas. High-resolution UAV magnetic surveys and structural studies are also planned to advance drill targeting. Additionally, over 2,000 till and rock chip samples will be collected across the 15-Mile Processing Hub and regional targets, testing up to 14 targets. A Nova Scotia-wide gold prospectivity and targeting study will cover the entire Meguma Terrane to identify new exploration targets.
