Adalta Limited (ASX:1AD) reports a significant clinical milestone from the ongoing Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) of its lead CAR-T cell therapy, EW-001, in China. The first patient to achieve complete tumor clearance following a single dose of EW-001 remains alive and without cancer recurrence two years after treatment. A second patient who achieved a complete response has now survived 12 months. EW-001 has delivered complete responses in 20% of patients treated at higher doses, a level of complete tumor clearance that is almost never seen in advanced mesothelioma. The company is advancing the transfer of EW-001 manufacturing to Cell Therapies Pty Ltd in Australia and progressing preparations for a pre-IND meeting with the US FDA, both anticipated in H2 CY2026.
